Marchesi 1824 returns to its roots with a journey to discover the great classics of Italian pastry, starting from the North, where each dessert tells a fascinating story and a tradition passed down for centuries.
The journey begins with a revisitation of the most iconic cakes, starting with the Duomo Cake, inspired by the symbol of Milan. This sweet cake captivates with its perfect balance of flavours and its elegant decoration, which recalls the majesty of the cathedral. It continues with the Tiramisù Cake, originally from Treviso, reinterpreted in a modern key with elegant decorations that enhance its aesthetics without altering its unmistakable creaminess. There is also the Sbrisolona, a famous cake from Mantova that captivates with its crumbliness and intense almond flavour. Other classic proposals include the Sabbiosa cake, with its simple and enveloping flavour, and the Crema cotta cake, where the crumbliness of the shortcrust pastry blends harmoniously with the softness of the filling.
Alongside the cakes, Marchesi 1824 has created a selection of monoportions that tell the story of tradition in small sweets to be enjoyed at any time. The Panna Cotta, delicate and creamy, has its roots in the Langhe, while the Zuppa Inglese, typical of Ferrara, offers an explosion of contrasting flavours and textures. Closing the journey are the elegant biscuit tins: Amaretti from Saronno, Occhi di Bue and Brutti ma buoni from Novara, ideal to accompany a sweet break.
This journey is only the beginning, with new stages that will explore the sweet specialities of Central and Southern Italy, bringing to light sweets that tell regional stories and traditions, all reinterpreted with the craftsmanship and artistry that distinguishes Marchesi 1824.
